Emergencies are unpredictable and you never know where you may be when a disaster strikes. Kanawha County has created an emergency app for citizens to access critical information wherever they are.
KC Ready is designed to prepare residents and their families, as well as keep them informed and safe throughout events that affect our region, such as floods and winter storms, or potential threats, such as hazardous materials or terrorist events.
KC Ready features a user friendly layout, and during an emergency, app users will be alerted to official County notifications, emergency maps, shelters and critical information. In addition to disaster resources, the app also connects users daily with a live traffic map, automatic daily notifications and local resources.
The free app, KC Ready, is available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play stores.
